JT Brahmans is located in Anderson Tx about 1 hr Northwest of Houston. Although JT Brahmans began in 1991 it is backed by more than 150 years of traditional Texas cattle production. George Anderson Allen started this tradition in the mid 1800s by raising free ranging beef cattle in the Peidmont area of Texas, the newest home of our operation. JT Brahmans is built with one eye for technology and the future and the other eye looking back for the things that have always outlasted the obstacles faced in the past. The same philosophies used in our family's commercial operation are integrated in selecting, culling, and breeding our purebred cattle. We base our breeding program around several elements, those being fertility, longevity, disposition, and fleshing ability. These elements have been what has worked throughout the years on our commercial cattle and we feel that they should also be a strong basis for our growing purebred herd. It is the rigid culling and selecting for these traits that has kept our herd from growing excessively large in a small period of time. We believe that quality greatly outweighs quantity.
